COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER
Education: Bachelor
in Chem E, Mech Eng, Materials E./Sc. 5 years of application
development engineering experience within an engineered materials
company, preferably plastics or foam industry
Personal Characteristics:
communication and presentation skills, personable, reliable, road
warrior but able to work in good terms with corporate. Follow
up
skills, knows how to push a new project forward.
Purpose;
the Crest Foam sales team is growing in the US market place,
but
given the complexity of foam products needs now the help of a sharp
engineer who will become their source of reference regarding foam
specifications, characteristics and applications.
Responsibilities:
works as a key member of the sales and marketing team to
identify,
create and develop with customers technical polyurethane foam
applications which translate in additional profitable sales.
Understands in depth the value proposition of foam
products as it
pertains to the full gamut of existing and new applications and becomes
the central product and application knowledge resource for the sales
group.
Presents
and promotes foam products to customers in partnership with sales
managers. Manages the product portfolio on a product
management
standpoint.
Becomes
an active link between manufacturing and sales to convey and repackage
the technical information in a useful format to the sales staff to
effectively sell.
Analyses in details competitive product offering
and works with sales and R&D to fill possible product GAPs.
Attends PDP meetings and becomes expert in the
Crest Foam Product line.
Spearheads
and facilitates product toll gate processes. Targets and
develop/promote products for existing or new applications with all
prospects, from fabricator/distributors, to OEMs, to end users. Gets
Crest Foam foam products specified by OEMs and to put Crest Foam on the
specs.
Will need to fully
understand our technical capabilities and become the expert on how to
optimally present those to the market place.
